Arts Mission

The mission of H.E. McCracken Middle School is to provide a complete arts education for diverse learners across the curriculum through the arts.

Arts Vision

H.E. McCracken Middle School is a unique learning community where students learn and grow in and through the arts.

Arts Goals

• To maintain a quality, challenging fine arts program through our fine arts classes that is aligned with the 2017 SC College & Career Ready Standards for Visual and Performing Arts Proficiency.
• To positively impact student achievement through arts-integration, school, and district- wide initiatives, based on the 2017 SC College & Career Ready Standards.
• To educate the HEMMS stakeholders about our school mission.

Points of Pride

• We are proud that every student at H. E. McCracken Middle School participates in an arts-focused elective as a personal choice, not a requirement.
• We offer many chances to showcase our identified gifted arts students throughout the school year through our clubs and performances.
• We offer: Band, Chorus, Dance, Art, Guitar, Piano.
• Students with special needs also participate in our arts elective classes.
