(Prerequisites CLIA and Nature and Need of the Artistically Gifted and Talented)

This institute is designed for arts teachers to complete their endorsement certificate for serving artistically gifted and talented students. This course is designed to:

• prepare teachers to design appropriate curriculum for gifted and talented students;
• explore curriculum models, instructional strategies, and assessments to meet the needs and abilities of gifted and talented students;
• develop and write units and lesson plans for serving artistically gifted and talented students; and
• explore issues related to psycho-social needs of the artistically gifted and talented students.
